FOUR WINDS PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS

Lots of ideas are blossoming at Four Winds! Our interests in Holistic Education and Sustainable Living come together in unique ways. Currently our activity is centered on:picture

  • The Living Learning Collaborative at Four Winds Farm is our unique educational community that fosters a strong sense of meaning and purpose through experiential learning. It is how we put into practice our approach to teaching and learning, incorporating the GATE principles and developing strength through collaboration.
  • ENTHEOS!, a program of inspiration for teachers. Never before has there been such a need for teachers to have a space for reflection and renewal as the demands of the world increasingly challenge them and their students. How do teachers sustain their work and what they know to be true, while evolving to best serve their students and their own growth?
  • Four Winds Farm is our 23 acre teaching and learning site. Its a place to explore, discover, and express...with Nature and in the community, providing a rich context for individualized learning.  Opportunities abound to develop a sense of place and a sense of self.  Come for a visit!
  • GATE is the activist portion of our passion for education! We seek to share the GATE vision with everyone who cares about the changing needs of a changing world and our children.
  • Dialogue is about people talking and listening with one another about what matters to them. It is about learning from each other and from our selves as we seek to discover how and why we think the way we do, expanding our understanding of each other, ourselves and the world. It provides a place for collective wisdom to emerge and serves as one of the fundamental practices that we esteem at Four Winds.
