FOUR WINDS FARM

Four Winds Farm is a beautiful 23 acre property within walking distance to downtown Great Barrington, MA. It is one of the last remaining sizeable parcels close to the center and offers a haven for much wildlife. It is being restored as a working and teaching  farm after being a vacation home for over 20 years. At the turn of the century there was a working dairy, and an apple orchard that we are slowly reclaiming.We welcome volunteers...stop by with a pair of pruners and lend a hand!!! Four Winds Farm serves as the physical home to Four Winds, Inc., the non -profit educational organization that offers programming through The Living Learning Collaborative.

The Farm is now under development as a working operation using sustainable practices. We envision people: students, teachers and community members, coming to learn about the land, where food comes from, how to grow it in harmony with the larger ecological picture in mind and then also how to develop some of these activities into research projects, business projects and for community service.  We invite you to come for a visit.
